Throughout his acclaimed career, he has collaborated and performed alongside Brazilian music royalty, including Maria Bethânia, Gilberto Gil, Daniela Mercury, Ivete Sangalo, Margareth Menezes, and Luiz Caldas, while showcasing his artistry in major projects across Brazil and internationally. Within Banda Terráquea, he serves as the master of percussion, infusing the group’s convergence of blues, soul, and R&B with the raw power of Afro-Bahian grooves. He is also a dedicated music educator and a master instructor for The Radio Terra Project, where he passionately shares his deep knowledge and lifelong experience with rising generations.
Ivanzinho Pacapuco is a Bahian percussionist, songwriter, arranger, and music producer with a career spanning over four decades. Initiated into the sacred atabaque drums during his childhood, he built his unique musical language upon Afro-Brazilian traditions, establishing himself as a master percussionist and a prominent fixture in the Bahian music scene.
